In this video we walk you through how to add new animals to the FarmWizard App.
This feature is particularly useful for adding animals that are coming through the race in a random fashion rather than being all of the same batch. In that case you will want to add the animals one at a time and this is how you can do that:
From the home screen select, ‘Add New’. On the next screen you will see the ‘Assign details below to all animals’ check box (img 1), make sure this is unticked. From here you will be scanning each tag, setting the attributes for each animal and saving the details into the database and then scanning the next one.
As you scan the tag you will see the identity number appear in the top field. If you are satisfied with the scan then select ‘Add New’ and you will receive a confirmation message to let you know the animal has been recorded and will uploaded to the FarmWizard database the next time you synchronise your data. Select OK and you are now ready to add the next animal.
Once you have finished adding the individual animals you can select ‘Back’. Go to ‘Recorded Events Management’ and then select ‘View Pending Events’ You will see here the records of the individual animals you scanned into your database.
Don’t forget! When you are back within an internet coverage area then you must sychronise your database with the Cloud. From the home screen select ‘Synchronise’ and you will receive confirmation messages your data has been sent to the server. (img 3)
